Marie’s daily verse: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).DAILY DEVOTION, May 28, 2022Proverbs 18:2 (NKJV)  “A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.”  The fool is interested in one thing: his own ideas. He hears divine truth but takes no delight in it. Proverbs 10:8 gives us the consequences. “The wise in heart will receive commands, But a prating fool will fall.”  The fool loves the sound of his own voice and babbles on and on with his verbal silliness, speaking of things that have no ultimate importance. He will not receive the commands of God, and as a result, he falls. He falls farther and farther away from God and from divine truth.I have been in meetings where it is evident that some love to hear the sound of their own voice. They love to express their own hearts, which they think are dripping with wisdom. Solomon refers to those who are enamored with their own wisdom as fools. True wisdom belongs to those who listen to the commands of God. Which fits you better? Are you a prating fool or one who loves the commands of God?Father, deliver me from foolishness. May I receive Your Word with faith, ever seeking to guide my life by Your commandments. Forgive me when foolishness grips my heart. I thank You for the forgiveness I have through Jesus Christ. In His name, I pray. Amen
