Marie’s daily verse: The Lord your God is with you,    the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you;    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,    but will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).DAILY DEVOTION, March 22, 2022Your law is my delight (Psalm 119:74).We are not saved by keeping the law of the Old Covenant. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ, who brought in a New Covenant. We do not keep the law according to God’s standard. We need a Savior to redeem us from the curse of the law. The law is good, but we are not good. What happens to the law of God once Jesus Christ has redeemed us? Think of God’s law as God’s will. As redeemed sinners, we love the will of God. The law of God is written on our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33). When we are born again, we have a deep love for the will of God. The law of God becomes our delight. Before faith was born, the law of God was like a great weight hanging upon our souls. Once we have been forgiven, we embrace God’s law eagerly. While we still do not obey God perfectly, as we live by faith in Jesus, His forgiving grace covers us.Father, I thank You for revealing Your law to us. While I confess that I have not kept Your law, I thank you for your matchless grace covering my failures. I delight in your law, and I delight in Your grace brought to me in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. I pray In His name, Amen.
