Using Our New Site

As we continue to add more new content to our website, we want to make it easy for our visitors to use.

One of the most important things we want to point out is that you can subscribe to the blog here on the site. This means if you go to the Blog tab and look on the right side, you will find a place to enter your email. If you do that, you will be automatically updated every time there is a new blog posted! This is important because our front page is static or doesn’t change. The reason we did this was to have one front page which is the same to welcome all visitors, including those who are new to our site and our church.

We have a whole list of new content we are working to add over the next few months, including information on our new Staff tab and our new World Outreach tab. We work to bring you Pastor Bowman’s weekly sermon (after we have had a few technical difficulties!) in a timely fashion.

One of the biggest things we would love to have from our congregation are testimonials about your experience with our church. You can either be noted on the testimonial, have an alias if you don’t want to use your real name for privacy purposes, or be listed as anonymous. You can submit your testimonials to us through our Contact tab.

Through the Contact tab, you can also submit questions, feedback, suggestions, and anything else you would like for the website! All content is screened by Pastor Richard and Marie Payne-Bowman.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Beginning the New Year!

This Sunday (January 6) begins a new year in the life of our church. I will resume the sermon series from the Book of Acts now that Advent and Christmas have come and gone. We will be looking at Acts 14 (briefly) and Acts 15. My main concern will be the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15. The issue they struggled with was an important one. What exactly is necessary for one to become a true Christian? Two different opinions were on the table which were contradictory.  Only one viewpoint could emerge as the standard for the church. We will examine carefully these two options and then apply the issue to the church of today. There are many things in the Christian life that can cause confusion.  Sincere Christians disagree on certain biblical ideas. However, we do not want to be confused on the matter of salvation. I hope to see you Sunday.  Pastor Bowman

Candlelight Communion

We have a lot of new things in place for everyone to peruse!  One of the things we want to let everyone know about ahead of time is the Candlelight Communion Service on Christmas Eve!  The service will begin at 5:30 PM and we welcome everyone who wishes to attend!  Pastor Bowman will be speaking about the Advent during his sermon!

The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining us!  The work to bring a website online consists of long hours creating the content, setting up our easy-to-use site, and filling it with meaningful information.

As you can see, work began over two months before the launch of our website!  To make it easy to learn, we will slowly be adding more information for our congregation.  We have a list of things you will soon see, including our outreach both domestically and abroad, a kids page for the children and grandchildren of our parishioners, and an updated events calendar!

Check back often for updates!
