THIS WEEK AT WARSAW CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 12/13 THRU 12/19. Marie and I are looking forward to tonight’s all-church dinner at Lil Papa Joes. It is our chance to say “Thank you” to our wonderful church family. Come around 5:30. We plan to eat at 6 PM. We had a  fantastic church Christmas dinner on Sunday. Thanks to all who brought their tasty dishes. On Wednesday our church will host the annual Hospice volunteers appreciation lunch. Marie is serving as a Hospice chaplain, and I served in that capacity for many years, having “retired” from serving this year. We have 17 signed up for our annual trek to Osage Beach this Sunday for the Christmas Show at Main Street Music Hall. , (December 19, for the 3 PM show.)   If you need a ride please let me know. We will leave after church on Sunday, have lunch on the way, and enjoy the show. We will have tickets to hand out on Sunday. The sermon Sunday will be a repeat of a first-person sermon I did several years ago. “An Old Man’s Story” will feature Simeon, one of the first persons to see the Christ child. It is the 4th Sunday in Advent. Pastor Gee will bring the sermon on 12/26. Tom will also be teaching the adult Sunday School class this Sunday. I am so thankful for Tom and Anita. What a blessing they have been to our church. A reminder that we will have a Christmas Eve service at 7 PM. Several times have been circulating but 7 PM is the correct time. I will be doing another repeat first-person mediation featuring one of the shepherds who went to the manger and saw the baby, Jesus. Wednesday Bible Study will resume on January 5th at 3 PM.
