We had a few brave souls show up for church last Sunday. Hopefully the weather will be better this Sunday. The sermon title this week is “Restoring That Which Has Been Lost” focusing on David’s prayer in Psalm 51. David is concerned because he has lost the joy of his salvation. He also knows that if he does not repent the Holy Spirit will be taken from him. We will be discussing this important Psalm.
Tuesday at 6:00 PM the Official Board will meet. This will be the first meeting with new officers for 2020. Board Chairman is David Cox. On Wednesday we resume our Bible study in the Book of Isaiah. We will also be discussing our next study topic.
Because of the weather last Sunday we postponed the installation of officers until this coming Sunday.
May you all have a blessed week!

THIS WEEK AT WARSAW CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 2/6 THRU 2/13
Wow, we made it through another year. In 1950 I was 14 years old and I remember wondering if I would be alive in the year 2000. 64 years old sounded real old! Well, I made it to the year 2000, and even on to 2020.
This Sunday we will install our 2020 officers (elders, deacons and board members) during morning worship. Sermon title is “Saved By The LIght,” Text Isaiah 60:1-6. Light is one of the primary symbols for God’s presence.
Men’s group meets at 8 AM on Tuesday. Women’s group meets on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Bible study resumes on Wednesday at 3:30 followed by choir at 4:45.
Church Board meets on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 6 PM.
May this be a blessed year for our church family. And if trials come your way in 2020, cling to Jesus and remember His promises that all who believe in Him will never perish but have everlasting life; and He will be with you always, through the good times and the bad times.

THIS WEEK AT WARSAW CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 12/30/2019 THRU 1/5/2020
I switched sermons last week because the one I planned to preach wasn’t ready. I hope it will be ready by Sunday! Title is “Happy New Year? It All Depends.” Depends on what? I hope to show that it depends on whether or not we make two critical decisions.
Again, because of the New Year’s holiday, Bible study and choir are cancelled this Wednesday. We will continue our study of Isaiah on January 8th.
FCM men’s group meets at 8 AM on January 7th, FCW women’s group meets January 8th at 9:30.
Official Board meets January 14th at 6 PM under the leadership of our new chairman, David Cox.
Happy New Year to our wonderful church family!

No Bible study or choir for two weeks. Both resume on January 8. Bible study at 3:30 and choir following.

THIS WEEK AT WARSAW CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 12/16 THRU 12/23, 2019
This Sunday’s sermon will focus on Isaiah’s prophecy, especially focusing on the word “wonderful.” The Hebrew word is a much stronger word than our English word “:wonderful.” When Isaiah said the Messiah would be called “wonderful” he said a mouth full!
Wednesday Bible study at 3:30 will continue the study in the Book of Isaiah. Mark Simmons will be our leader. Choir will follow at 4:45. Since Christmas and New Year’s Day are both on a Wednesday this year Bible study and choir will be postponed for two weeks.
FCW is also moved back a week to January 8th. FCM will meet on January 7th.
Nine of us attended the Main Street Music Hall Christmas program in Osage Beach Sunday. The roads were wet but no ice or snow to speak of. As usual, they put on an inspiring and entertaining performance. For those who did not go and have tickets, if you go this Sunday you will have to go to the ticket booth to exchange your tickets. If you can’t go Sunday you can pick another date or even use the tickets for next year’s show. Or, you can obtain a refund. If you have any questions call Main Street Music Hall. They are very accommodating.
We will have our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service at 7 PM.
